Based on WW2 German Messershmitt Bf 109 fighter plane nose art. The Ace of Spades badge is that of Luftwaffe Jg53. In 1940 their squadron leader married a Jewish lady and in reprisal Hermann Georing had their aces removed and replaced with a red 'stripe of shame'. Later the squadron leader was 'removed' and the Aces allowed back, but the remaining pilots removed the swastikas from their aircraft in protest.
Hand shaped and riveted, enamel painted and weathered aluminium wall panel. W595xH300mm.
